The housing recession in 2008 rocked the country for homebuyers and homeowners alike. But where are we now?
According to HSH, an online lending marketplace, a majority of home prices have now returned to pre-recession highs in a majority of America’s largest housing markets.
75% of the nation’s largest housing markets have achieved a full price recovery in the second quarter of 2019.
And while 25% of the nation’s housing market has yet to regain its price recovery, a majority of the nation’s largest housing markets returning to pre-recession highs is positive.
As the year continues, experts will keep an eye on the shifting market and home price appreciation to see where the remaining 25% will land.
