Instagram is more than just a place to upload your latest meal or flashback Friday post. As a real estate agent, Instagram can be used to humanize your brand and reach prospects.

Why use Instagram, you may ask? Well, let’s look at the numbers:

  • As of 2018, 30% of the U.S. population uses Instagram.
  • Most millennials use Instagram every day.
  • There are one billion monthly active users
  • 72% of Instagram users purchased a product they saw on the post

As you can see, Instagram is pretty important.

Instagram allows you to create a “Business Account” – where you can receive real-time metrics on how your stories and posts perform, receive insights into your followers, and how they interact with your account.

Let’s check out some simple tips on how you can incorporate Instagram with your brand:

Prospecting

A great way to utilize Instagram is searching by location. Once you search the location you’re in, local residents will pop up. Because these posts are viewable, they’re public – which means you can like and comment on them!

It’s a great way to get noticed and to reach out to people that will potentially want to see your business.

Viewers want to see a real person – not a corporate image. When posting, think about sharing fun and upbeat team activities – dinners, outings, any successes, holiday parties, or meetings!
