Clock in, grab your coffee, and search for homes.
That seems to be the routine for future homebuyers when they settle down for their business day. Redfin released data that shows users of the site jumped on to view their dream home between the weekday hours of 9am and 5pm.
Nearly 64% more people are on Redfin at 10am on Friday mornings than any other time.
The least likely time for people to search for homes? That falls under weekday evenings. Might make sense, after a long day of working and searching for homes, why not take a little break?
But why isn’t the most popular time to search over the weekend? Redfin proposes that it might be the time when people are actually visiting homes they’re searching for online. The highest online search time over the weekend falls on Saturdays at 10am.
While these results show when people are searching, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re starting the application process – it’s all about looking, comparing, and gathering their wish lists for a possible dream home.
