AmeriTitle Idol: Back by Popular Demand

Posted on | May 2, 2018

“Since its inaugural season in 2007, AmeriTitle Idol has raised close to $90K for local non-profits while providing some really great entertainment for our friends.” Eric Templeton, VP & General Manager, AmeriTitle

AmeriTitle Idol is a live-band karaoke competition designed to raise funds for the community. Money is raised through a $10 admission fee at the door. After a hiatus last year, we’re answering the demands of our clients and the community to hold a 2018 event.

“It’s more than a singing competition and more than a fundraiser. It always feels like a reunion and a very special gathering of friends who you don’t see all the time. It’s a great time to reconnect, and have a good time while doing great things for our community.”  Stephanie Moore, AmeriTitle Salem Escrow Manager

The FlexTones are the highly skilled live-band who can effortlessly go from The Beatles, to Adele, to The Black Keys. Then we have the contestants. The singers are the brave souls who stand up there and belt it out for the good of the cause and for the coveted title of AmeriTitle Idol.

If you’ve attended in the past, you know that the judges and emcees can provide as much entertainment as the singers. Opening night, Don Sturgeon will be our emcee. For the remaining weeks, we’ll have Kyle Sexton.

When we assembled the panel of judges, we sought out seasoned AmeriTitle Idol veterans, past performers, and champions. Contributing their time on the panel: AmeriTitle Idol creator, Matie G (also known as Mat Genuser); Sarah Harrison, David Porter, and Don Sturgeon – or, if you see a mullet in the house, we may have his alter-ego, Crutch Hutchins.

“I can’t decide if it is a fun event that happens to raise a lot of money, or a fundraiser that happens to be a lot of fun.” Don Sturgeon, Principal Broker, HomeSmart Realty Group

The AmeriTitle Willamette Valley Entertainment Crew anticipates drawing a large crowd to The Half Penny. Packing the house equates to a healthy donation of funds to the line-up of non-profits who have a common theme of supporting youth in our area.
