The American Land Title Association (ALTA) announced they have awarded Linda Stelle, President of AmeriTitle, and Chuck Sheffield, Senior Vice President of AmeriTitle, the designation of National Title Professional (NTP). According to ALTA, the NTP designation recognizes “land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience, and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.”
To receive the NTP designation, Stelle and Sheffield had to complete a comprehensive application process, attend ALTA’s prerequisite courses or pass an equivalency exam, and successfully demonstrate their knowledge and experience in the title and escrow industry. Additionally, they were required to have contributed to the industry through ALTA and the Oregon Land Title Association. Stelle and Sheffield are the first to receive the designation in the Pacific Northwest and only two of twenty-six individuals who have been awarded the designation in the United States.
Linda Stelle’s career began in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She has worked for AmeriTitle for 36 years,
successfully guiding the company’s growth and multiple acquisitions. Chuck Sheffield began his career in the industry in 1979 in San Diego, California. He moved to Salem, Oregon where he joined AmeriTitle in 1995. While Sheffield is AmeriTitle’s Senior Vice President, he also facilitates the role of Senior Underwriter.
